Your settings
If you change a setting in the Accessibility panel (stop motion, higher contrast, larger reading text, or minimizing the floating button), the site saves those choices in your browser’s local storage as “hills-to-climb-accessibility-v1”, so they are still there on your next visit. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. The website itself doesn’t set cookies, and form entries are not saved in your browser.
Giving
The donate page loads Stripe’s secure checkout. Stripe sets its own cookies, such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, to help prevent fraud and complete your payment securely. These are needed for checkout to work.
Forms
The contact and job application forms load Cloudflare Turnstile, a quick check that helps tell people apart from automated spam. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare and may use its own browser storage to do that check.
Analytics and advertising
None. This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking cookies.
Your choices
Use Reset choices in the Accessibility panel to return your settings to the defaults, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings at any time. If your browser blocks Stripe’s cookies, checkout may not work. Please call (410) 635-1073 and we’ll help you give.
